Xcel Infiniti Ltd 4/3mm Wetsuit

Xcel Infiniti Ltd 4/3mm Wetsuit

  • Wetsuit Type: Men’s fullsuit
  • Thickness: 4mm through the bulk of the suit, 3mm panels allowing the upper body greater flexibility
  • Neoprene: Channel Flex, Xcel’s new super-light, super-stretchy neoprene. It’s a hydrophobic gridded material, akin to O’Neill’s TechnoButter but with a greater emphasis on warmth
  • Lining: Xcel’s new Radiant Rebound from the chest to the ankles
  • Radiant Rebound: Xcel’s new thermal lining is a brushed fabric, extremely soft to the touch with a super-cosy look and feel. A metal lining under the textile causes the eponymous rebound effect, keeping the cold out and your body heat in.
  • Entry: Chest zip with magnetic closure (very nifty) and “semi-dry” zipper, which is partially sealed with a silicone strip
  • Seam Construction: FusionX tape throughout, internally bolstering the already-triple-glued-and-blindstitched seams
  • Also Worth Noting: Nexskin wrist seals (liquid neoprene strips) prevent flushing; “back knee flex grooves” prevent bunching; glideskin collar keeps water out.
  • Eco Credentials: Water-based glues (no nasty VOCs); dope-dyed yarns (massive savings on water and energy); scrap rubber tyres pyrolyzed into carbon black (one of the key ingredients in neoprene); limestone-derived neoprene (marginally better than petrochemcial alternatives); plastic bottles recycled into polyester yarns (used the stretch jersey fabric that lines the neoprene).
  • Rough Temperature Guide: 10-15 °C
